Meet The National Merit Semifinalists

Celebrating Academic Excellence

St. Thomas Aquinas High School proudly recognizes our 12 National Merit Semifinalists and 16 National Merit Commended Students for their outstanding academic achievement, dedication, and leadership. Among them are six student-athletes, exemplifying the balance of scholarship and athletic excellence that defines the Raider spirit.

The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, is an annual academic competition that honors the nation’s highest-achieving high school students. Conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®)—a not-for-profit organization operating without government assistance—the program begins when more than 1.3 million students nationwide take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). From this group, only a select few advance to Semifinalist status, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.

We commend our National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Students for their exceptional accomplishments and for embodying excellence in the classroom, on the field, and throughout the community. They are true examples of what it means to live the Raider Life.
