National Honor Society
The purpose of this organization is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. It is our goal to improve our school and local communities as well as assist students in creating a supportive network of individuals that promote both education and the overall well-being of our students today and in their future endeavors.
The National Honor Society adopts 1-2 service projects of a member's choice each year. Dance Marathon was instituted in Spring of 2018. In the last 3 years, STA DM has raised over $60,000 for Nicklaus Children's Hospital of Miami.
