National Honor Society

The purpose of this organization is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools.

Grades Eligible: 11 & 12

Requirements for eligibility

  • 4.5 cumulative GPA and
  • a minimum of 100 service hours

These requirements must be met by the end of the summer school term prior to the year seeking induction.

* Students who meet these requirements will be invited to apply.

A one-time membership fee of $25 will be collected upon acceptance.
Members are expected to maintain good academic standing and uphold academic integrity as stated in the Parent-Student Handbook. Members must also participate in tutoring services and the adopted fall and spring service projects to remain in good standing.

Tutoring will begin Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

The National Honor Society adopts 1-2 service projects of members' choice each year. Dance Marathon was instituted in Spring 2018, raising $31,378.99 for Nicklaus Children's Hospital of Miami (a Children's Miracle Network Hospital).
