Rho Kappa Honor Society

Rho Kappa Honor Society promotes scholarship, community service, leadership, character, and recognizes academic excellence in social studies among high school students.

Moderators: Mr. Gerry Braun & Mr. Arlee Pabustan

Grades Eligible: 11 and 12

Qualifications for Induction:

Juniors:

  • 4.0 GPA (unweighted) in all core Social Studies classes (i.e., World History and American History)
  • An overall GPA of at least 3.0 (unweighted)
  • Excellent in conduct and industry
  • Minimum of 50 recorded service hours

Seniors:

  • At least a 3.8 GPA (unweighted) in all core Social Studies classes (i.e., World History, American History, and Government/Economics)
  • An overall GPA of at least 3.0 (unweighted)
  • Excellent in conduct and industry
  • Minimum of 75 recorded services hours
  • An invitation to apply will be sent at the beginning of each spring semester to all students who meet these requirements.
    * A one-time membership fee of $20 will be assessed before induction.

    To sustain membership, members must maintain the semester A average and participate in Rho Kappa activities and meetings. Should a student fail to meet these requirements, they will be placed on probation within the honor society and will have one semester to bring their GPA back to full membership status.
